    The question asks for energy transfer by mass not seconds, basically specific energy... Shouldn't the answer therefore be in a per kg format?

    If it's reversible ONLY does that mean S2 - S1 = Q/T ?? Because Sgen would be zero at that point.

      yes, correct. Sgen is a measure of irreversibility. So a reversible heat transfer would be S2-S1 = Q/T

    This is a turbine, Work OUT of the system is positive, Q is negative

      If you write your equation as Q-W, then yes, work out is positive. If you write your equation as Q+W, then work out is negative. It is just a matter of preference. Most thermodynamicists like Q-W and doing it like you said. Most physicists (and me!) like Q+W. Do you see that we would end up the the same equation?

    Do you ever solve for Entropy change with Cpln(T2/T1) - Rln(P2/P1)??? Or is it further down the list?

    # 7 LOLOL, You have some weird values for R-134a, but problem seven is solved just like you did it, find Q = S2 - S1 X Temp... then U2 - U1... ah you know the rest.... but those values you're throwing out there for this substance are suspect. LOL

      I am using the property tables from Cengel and Boles. The property tables from Moran and Shapiro look slightly different, but in the same ballpark. Honestly, this is just a problem (and solution) striaght from the Cengel and Boles textbook. I would double check your tables. engineering.wayne.edu/mechanical/pdfs/thermodynamic-_tables-updated.pdf

    #6 S = 3450 BTU/ Tsat @ 20 pisa which is 3450 BTU/688 R = 5.01 ish (This is quick way, if it was isothermal it'd be 3450 / 530 R but it's not so you have to divide by the sat temp at constant P of 20 psia)

      again, I'm not sure what R134 tables you are looking at. The tables from Cengel and Boles show what I've got in the video.

    R134a at 50C and 1200 kPa is 426.84 kJ/kg and hf (at saturation liquid) 45C is 264.11 kJ/kg.

      again, double checking my tables, but I've got that R134a at 50C and 1200kPa is 278.28 kj/kg. And hf at 45 would be the average of 117.34 and 114.30.

    i might got confuse but why , when i use the right hand rule for the Mz , I get my finger to curls , the other way ? ;-; . like my thumb pointing upwards , it suppose to go from left to right isnt it
